gconf-editor - view and edit personal desktop configuration preferences
gconf-editor [gnome-std-options]
The GConf Editor application enables you to view and edit all of your current personal desktop preferences. The GConf Editor window provides a tree view to navigate through the hierarchy of preferences, an edit pane to make changes to individual preferences, and a description pane to highlight the documentation associated with the currently selected preference.
The following options are supported:
gnome-std-options Standard options available for use with most GNOME applications. See gnome-std-options(5) for more information.

Example 1: Launching GConf Editor

The following exit values are returned:
0 Application exited successfully
>0 Application exited with failure

/usr/bin/gconf-editor Executable for GConf Editor.
/etc/gconf/schemas Directory containing the schema definition files.
/etc/gconf/version_number/path The location of the GConf path file.
