Default Live CD Won't Boot

Hi All,
I am having trouble booting the Live CD. I am running an Athlon 2200 with 1 gig of memory and plenty of HD space. I downloaded osol-0906-x86.iso and verified the checksum then proceeded to burn the disk. When I try to boot it, I get thru to the selection screen. It doesn't matter what I select, the disk attempts to load but at the OpenSolaris billboard it reboots my computer. I was looking to switch to OpenSolaris, but if it doesn't boot there is no way for me to consider it. Anyone have any ideas? Help, someone.....Please!

Hi,

I'm not sure if it would help, but I ended up running OpenSolaris through Oracle VM virtual box, and just used the ISO image saved on my hard drive.
