Default career break into Sun Solaris

Hi folks,
I am new here.I would like to get a career break into Sun Solaris.I have a few questions if any one could help me.

I have no idea about what Unix is, and starting over all new.

1.Do I need to have to learn any basics before sitting in a sun solaris training class room?.
2.Which is best institute in Bangalore,India to learn Sun Solaris

if you are new and starting for the 1st time than I would suggest that you 1st first start from Linux as there is a lot more material (explained in a very student friendly way) available on the web for Linux
learn a bit of bash, the command line an d the basic system admin commands

you can start with the Linux+ certification material which starts from the very basic level and there and lots of CBTs and books available for it
