Solaris 10 help

Hello ,
I am a debian user. I felt like having a better UNIX experience. So is solaris 10 a good option ? can i run all linux programs in solaris (unix) ?
And is solaris well supported by community? ( i looked on the net and found few things that users complain about ..

)
