Default A question about chkconfig in Solaris Sparc

Hi,

Usually I use LINUX and I can set the running scripts under /etc/init.d and I can check this with 'chkconfig'.

But now by Solaris I got "chkconfig: not found"

Someone can help?

Regards

Thoams

Default start services

You can use the /etc/rc*.d directories to create start scripts that key off a file name such as S70(insertprogramhere) to start an app called (insertprogramhere). If you use multiple start scripts S70 will start before S80 that will start before S99, etc...

A better explanation can be found here:

Or you can use services (I don't know if open solaris has service support) but it is worth looking into:

BigAdmin Feature Article: Using Service Management Facility (SMF) in the Solaris 10 OS: A Quick Example

I hope this helps!
